This is the true story behind the famous photograph of the six men raising the flag at Iwo Jima. James Bradley, son of one of those six men, John Bradley, didn't learn about the story from his father. Instead he researched the stories after his father's death. It is powerful and patriotic.

This book was made into a movie by Clint Eastwood.
